Company Overview

NPC 2015/171500/08

We consist of a team of Boston Terrier owners and lovers that have been involved in BT rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming for the last 4 years. We are all volunteers and during this period we have successfully rehomed more than 30 Bosties. All our rescues are placed into our home care system which means they are treated as we treat our own dogs. The homes where they are placed have all been home checked and approved. We also do stringent home checks and do not work on a first come first serve basis ito adoption. Extreme care is taken to match the needs of the doggie to that of the adopting family.

Motto

“With humility & respect we serve”

Mission

  • To rescue, rehabilitate and rehome any Boston Terrier in need.
  • To build and extensive collaborative network in SA to share information on all matters pertaining to the welfare of animals.

How We work

All BTAG activities are taken care of by a core set of volunteers.  Each volunteer brings a special skill set to the table and it is the common thread of our love for animals in general and the Boston Terrier breed specifically, that  guide and direct us as a team.

We have 5 formal BTAG NPC Directors that jointly take responsibility for the strategic direction and planning, goal formulation and financial health of our NPC.

Over and above this we have several other volunteers that contribute time and expertise when they are able or when they are called upon for help in specific situations.

No one is remunerated for their work and all funds raised by BTAG are ploughed back into the NPC and takin care of the Bosties.

BTAG is KZN based and volunteers are strategically situated from Ballito to Durban and down into the South Coast.  The second corridor where we have a strong volunteer presence is the DBN, Hillcrest, Pietermaritzburg, Hilton and Howick areas.  In the last year we have expanded this volunteer base to Port Elizabeth and George.

We will however help any Bostie in need anywhere in  South Africa and we strife to work with other rescue organisations in the country.
